I still can’t believe I did it — I hit publish. Twice.
Not long ago, I didn’t know how to start a blog. I had no idea what a “pin” was or how SEO worked.
But here I am, two blog posts in, and I’ve already learned so much — not just about blogging, but about myself
Today, I want to share the honest lessons I’ve learned after publishing my first two posts as a complete beginner, stay-at-home mom.
1. Done Is Better Than Perfect
I spent hours tweaking the titles, images, and every single word.
But in the end, I realized this: pressing publish taught me more than waiting for perfection ever could.
Was it perfect? No.
But it was mine — and that gave me confidence to keep going.
2. It Feels Scary (and That’s Okay)
Hitting “publish” felt like standing on stage with a spotlight. What if no one reads it? What if they do?
But each time I share my story, I grow a little braver.
Because someone out there is just like me — starting from scratch, full of doubts, but dreaming of more.
3. Pinterest Is a Game-Changer
I had no idea how powerful Pinterest could be for blogs.
Creating pins helped me visualize my message, and I learned how important design and keywords are for visibility.
I’m still learning, but I’m excited to grow this skill.
4. There’s So Much to Learn (But That’s Not a Bad Thing)
From Canva to WordPress to SEO… it’s a lot.
But I’ve learned to take it one skill at a time. I don’t need to know everything on Day 1.
Small steps really do add up.
5. My Voice Matters — And Yours Does Too
The biggest lesson?
My story is worth telling.
Even if I’m new. Even if I’m still figuring things out.
